Shopify Gaming PC Configurator

Further development and integration of an existing Shopify configurator for gaming PCs.

Task

An existing gaming PC configurator needed to be improved so customers could select key components and the configuration would reliably carry through the purchasing flow.

My role

I further developed the existing configurator and integrated it into the main store. The work is intentionally not presented as a from-scratch build.

Implementation

  • Configured selection for CPU, GPU, RAM and SSD.
  • Implemented dynamic calculation of the total price.
  • Checked and corrected the transfer of selected components to cart and checkout.
  • Moved the configurator to the main store and integrated it into production.
  • Tested configurations with a total value of up to €7,990 as part of QA.

Result

The selected components and associated price calculation now work consistently from the configurator through to checkout. The €7,990 value is a QA test fact, not a claimed commercial result.
